proverbs 31:5

Proverbs 31:5 “Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.”

The first thing that came to mind after reading this verse was erins story from a previous descution after ibs, about a group of people coming together to have a bible studie over some alcoholic beverages. He shaired on how people were so waisted that the bible study was more focused on alchohol then the gospel also stating that there were some non believers there. To me that’s a good example of alcohol leading away afflicted people by Christians setting a perverted example of gods law threw bad judgment.

I don’t want to loose focus of gods law or delute any plans he has for me in in Isaiah 28:7  it says, “the priests and the prophet have erred threw intoxicating drink, they are swallowed up by wine, they error in vision, they stumble in judgment.”

Application: 1 peter 4:3-4 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
